Paige Knapman
is the principal consultant with
Safely
Managed Consulting, a
company that specializes in helping
workplaces develop and continually
improve their Safety Management
Systems. Paige has worked as a
certified OH&S auditor with the
Partnerships program and has more
than ten years of Safety Management
Systems auditing experience. Paige
is a certified auditor with the BC
Food Processor Health & Safety
Council and the BC Municipal Safety
Association.
Education
Paige graduated from the Chemical
Technologies program at the Southern
Alberta Institute of Technology in
the mid-90’s. In following years,
Paige continued to develop her
education by completing professional
development courses in Occupational
Health & Safety, and in 2007 was
awarded certification as a Canadian
Registered Safety Professional.
Work and
Industry Experience
Paige has been involved in workplace
health and safety in different roles
for over 20 years. Her experience
working as a Health & Safety Advisor
in the industrial processing sector
afforded the opportunity to work
with employees and managers in a
mentoring and leadership role, with
the overall goal of promoting a safe
work environment and fostering a
strong safety culture.
Training
Experience
Paige is an experienced safety
trainer and has training in adult
education. She is approved as an
education partner with the
WorkSafeBC network of safety
training providers.
In her role as a safety consultant,
Paige enjoys meeting new people and
being able to continue to help
workplaces develop and continually
improve their Safety Management
Systems. Paige lives in the Comox
Valley on Vancouver Island with her
family and enjoys an active outdoor
lifestyle including camping, hiking
and sea kayaking.
